Finally did box jumps at this box and it was fun.
After a last week’s poor diet, I’m happy to report I lost one pound, which is amazing because of the crap I ate.
It could have been water weight, it could have been the last two days I really clamped down, regardless, it’s more than I imagined.
Also feeling stronger going into my fourth consecutive week of CrossFit. Let’s keep it going, three more weeks until I see the gang from college, and I want them to notice a difference.
Today was embarrassing but I got a good sweat out of it and I concluded my second full week back at Crossfit.
I’m exhausted, and looking forward to the weekend so I can recover.
Another great WOD, but I’m a bit disappointed in myself for not finishing 10 rounds in 20 minutes. I had just started the tenth round when time was called.
I’m really tired, and muscle fatigue is kicking my butt. I did get a good night’s sleep but the lack of endurance is evident.
I really want to go Friday, but we’ll see how the rest of the day goes. I have to keep pushing, if I want any sort of change. I can rest on the weekends.
After a late night, our six week old helped me get up for CrossFit thus morning.
Fun WOD, it truly kicked my butt and I loved it. My calves are getting really tight, a carryover from yesterday’s deadlift centric WOD.
In one week, I lost 5 pounds, mostly due to portion control. It’s too soon to reap the benefits of CrossFit yet, but I’m getting there, I just need to show up!
Ran my first 5k
After a week 1 of the Paleo Challenge, I weighed myself and I lost one pound. I’m not discouraged since I know my body is also building muscle and doesn’t know what the he’ll I’m doing.
I wasn’t expecting more lost weight, in fact the opposite. I thought I would have put on a pound or 2.
Today, the WOD was a 5k run. Since I’ve toyed with the idea of running one, I thought I’d give this one my best efforts and see how it went. It wasn’t flat, but I turned in a 36 min time, which was deadlast in my 6am class but I’m very happy I did it.
I can only get faster with more training!
Day 2 of the Paleo Challenge. All day Monday, I was constantly hungry. I knew this from past experience so I had to stock up on nuts and really drink a lot of water. It will be this way until my body understands that it can extract enough nourishment on my new Paleo regime.
I’m lucky the missus understands, and is 51% on board with me.
Today’s WOD was a chipper wod, and I was drained. I think the protein shake before bedtime might help, I’ll have to try it tomorrow.
Day 1 of the Paleo Challenge. I’ve never done one before, but with the blessing of the missus, here we go!
Paleo Challenge
I’ve been crossfitting for a total of 9 months and this coming Monday, I’ll be starting my first Paleo Challenge!
I’m scared to do the baseline WOD but at least six weeks from now I’ll have a better time, for sure.
I also can’t get hung up on the fact that I hear so many stories of how much weight people lose. I want to lose a substantial amount, but even more so, I have to eat smarter and work harder on the WODs. Wish me luck on this six week jourbey/transformation!
Great, all body soreness.
